After years working in real estate and studying at the renowned Inchbald School of Interior Design in London, the vision for the interior decoration concept Del Prado was conceived by Nancy Kolff-Rodriguez. As a native New Yorker with family roots in Spain, Nancy has been influenced by her international life that has brought her in contact with many different cultures and styles of living, including in Japan and France.

As a result, Nancy’s passion has always been to create a fusion of styles in her home. Her credo is that your home should tell your story. Since 2011 she is happy to call The Netherlands her permanent home. Nancy set up Del Prado in 2019 together with her husband Quirijn Kolff.

What’s in a name?
Many people ask why our company is called Del Prado. My husband and I lived a few wonderful years in Madrid, near a bustling street called Calle Del Prado. We loved Madrid with its elegant yet easy going lifestyle.

Del Prado means “from the field” in Spanish. As a New York city girl with Spanish country roots this resonated with me. I like chic and elegant but I am also natural and unfussy at heart. Having a home full of love, inspiration and joy that reflects your story is at the heart of our vision. That is why we chose a name that has meaning for us, brings us joy and reflects our mission and our story.
